Who are the top Life Insurance Companies in the country? The Insurance Commission releases the list of the top insurers albeit late. The latest figures show the numbers of 2009. The ranking is according to total premiums registered.

There are many other areas one should consider when choosing an insurer other than its ranking such as claims experience, customer service, charges, etc. Further, chose a life insurance intermediary (agent, broker, adviser) who will take time to educate you in the rudiments of risk management and not just push a product.

    I think it would be fair to your readers if you can share the latest and updated ranking of insurance companies. I just checked the insurance commission website and saw that Sunlife of Canada is currently the top insurance company now and not Philamlife.

    What you have is the 2009 file i think. So far, my Lola who is now 70 yrs old is still enjoying her dividends from sunlife. Talking about stability and integrity, our family experienced this for real.

    As long as the Insurance Commission renews their authority to sell life insurance, I think they are in good standing. In the end, what matters is the ability of the company to pay its obligations to policy holders and their beneficiaries. I myself have policies from 4 different life insurance companies.   • 2011 lang naman naging top ang sun life and this is their 1st time to experience on top.
    But if you look at Philam Life is the no.1 insurance company for over 60 years. Sa tingin nyo ba kayang lagpasan ng sunlife yan? At premium lang naman sila top, pero when it comes to stability you have to consider Paid-up capital, Investment, Asset and networth.
    Dapat malaman din ito ng mga policy owner.
